From the recording Crossroads to Love

Crossroads to Love is the second song 52 West recorded.  We double-tracked Rob's vocal to give it more presence and a stereo spread.  Larry and Joe did the backup vocals.  We especially like the chord changes that precede the lead guitar break.

Lyrics

Like a wayward woman from an LA scene, lookin’ good in her tight blue jeans.White top and a full-on tan, wishin’ I could be her man. But, it’s a long road to love, standin’ at the Crossroads to Love,Is she lookin’ at me or just passin’ along on the Crossroads to Love. She gave a look, went right through me, blazin’ hot like you wouldn’t believe. The only thing that I could see, what I hoped she would see in me.Oh, it’s a long road to love, standin’ at the Crossroads to Love,Is she lookin’ at me or just passin’ along on the Crossroads to Love.If I had your number, girl, I could make the call,Don’t do this dance alone, am I getting through to you at all? Oh yeah!No smile but I got a wink, didn’t know just what to think.I never fell like this before, and never felt so unsure.Yes, it’s a long road to love, standin’ at the Crossroads to Love,Is she lookin’ at me or just passin’ along on the Crossroads to Love.‘Cause, it’s a long road to love, standin’ at the Crossroads to Love,Is she lookin’ at me or just passin’ along on the Crossroads to Love.
