From the recording As Much as I Do

Rob wrote As Much As I Do as a look at his life now and how he arrived at it to this point.  It is a poignant look at his soul from the inside.  And, it is heart-felt.  We decided to have him do the harmony parts himself rather than have Larry and Joe do them.  The vocal effect of the harmonies blend wonderfully.  He came up with the main guitar riff.  Joe did the guitar fills and the lead.

Lyrics

I’ve been searchin’ for you everywhere, everywhere I go.Lookin’ into lots of pretty eyes that got no soul.Up ahead I saw a shinin’ light, as bright as it could be.It was you, and that big smile of yours was all that I could see.So I’m here now with Luanie, and with Janie, too,Ain’t nobody gonna smile as much as I do.One into two is never good, it tore our love apart.Headed down another dusty road, got a brand new start.Lonely days and smoky nights, you found me in between.Wasn’t lookin’ for another go, but your smile was like a dream. So I’m here now with Luanie, and with Janie, too,Ain’t nobody gonna smile as much as I do.Lots of little smiles every day, and every night at home. That little gang made it oh so good, would never be alone. All that empty time has passed me by, lost without a trace. You brought along a better song, and your special grace. Many days linin’ up ahead, as far as I can see.Living out all these crazy dreams, that’s just how it should be.So I’m here now with Luanie, and with Janie, too,Ain’t nobody gonna smile as much as I do.
